As someone who is told all the time you should be selling your craft, I am sure you have thought about opening a business a million times. Maybe you took the plunge but you’re looking to up your game or need a bit of help with your business. I want to help!
The Creatives Business website is geared towards helping creatives start and manage their online businesses. I share business tips, web design and graphic tutorials, and organizational information. I get so many questions from others about how I started and run my biz, I decided to put it all out there. Working from home and running a full-time online business has been a total life changer. I was stuck sitting in the typical hospital cubicle doing repetitive work day in and day out. It paid decent but it was killing my soul. I know there are a lot of you out there going through the same thing and know I can help you start or take your creative business to the next level. Maybe you want to just create some extra income or you’re looking to quit your day job – You can totally do it. If I can, you can!
Hi, my name is Megan and I am glad you decided to take a look around. I started selling online when E-commerce was a toddler and eBay was just an infant in the late 1990s. I sold a few things to clear out unwanted items in my home but it wasn’t long that sales were overtaking my regular wage as a medical transcriptionist. I had just gotten married with a supportive husband who felt like it was the right time to take the plunge – and I did and haven’t looked back. My business has changed over the years, moved off eBay long ago, and have focused on my own websites and Etsy where I sell supplies, both handmade and commercial, digital art, and handmade jewelry. I hope to expand my handmade lines soon as I will shortly be finished with my Bachelor’s in Information Technology/Web Design (finally).
